In Melbourne recently I had the pleasure of moderating another ZDNet IT Priorities Roundtable, which was made up of some very clever individuals, including Cesare Tizi, former CIO of energy giant AGL. He explained why, for very large companies, the best IT strategy is to have no IT strategy at all. This may sound odd but I’d love to hear your feedback after reading the report and/or watching the video.

Recently I was in Kuala Lumpur for a few days, moderating the first IT Priorities Roundtable discussion. During a chat with one of the panellists, Chris Cheong, the regional IT director of Lowe & Partners, the conversation turned to cloud computing.

Fingerprint scanning gates were being used by tour group the Fanatics to control entry and exit to the Durban Cricket Ground, which was converted into a “tent city” for around 1,200 Socceroos fans during the World Cup in South Africa. Photo gallery here.
